Advertisement for Bids Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the Village of Millbrook’s Village Clerk for the Franklin Avenue Phase 3 ADA Sidewalk Improvements Project – Contract No. 26-001. Bids will be received at the office of the Village Clerk, 35 Merritt Avenue, Millbrook, NY prior to June 18th, 2026, at 1:00 P.M. Bids properly received and identified will be opened publicly and read aloud shortly after the time due. Contract Being Bid: The Village of Millbrook invites the submission of sealed bid proposals for this Project. Work shall consist of: Base Bid: Removal of approximately 164 LF of concrete curbing and replacement of approximately 128 LF, removal of approximately 1,318 SF of concrete sidewalk and replacement of approximately 1,247 SF, removal of approximately 373 SF of brick sidewalk, replacement of an existing curb ramp, installation of detectable warning panels, relocation of three (3) sign posts, removal of one (1) deciduous street tree, replacement of two (2) deciduous street trees, removal of approximately 424 SF of asphalt pavement and replacement of approximately 313 SF, approximately 330 LF of crosswalk striping, installation of approximately 360 SF of grass, and all associated work. Add Alternate #1A: Removal of 145 CY of asphalt pavement and replacement of approximately 36 LF of concrete curbing and associated asphalt pavement. Add Alternate #1B: Removal and replacement of approximately 43 LF of concrete curbing and associated asphalt pavement. Add Alternate #2: Removal and replacement of approximately 293 SF of concrete sidewalks. Bidding Documents Bidding documents for the proposed work were prepared by the engineering firm, Rennia Engineering Design, PLLC, Dover Plains, NY 12522. Bidders will be furnished a full and complete copy of the plans and specifications by the Village Clerk, located at Village Hall, 35 Merritt Avenue, Millbrook, NY upon proper presentation of the name, email address, mailing address, telephone and fax numbers of the interested party making such request. Plans and bid documents will be available on May 18th, 2026, at 1:00 P.M., at Village Hall. Alternatively, PDF copies are available via e-mail upon request with a valid email address. Partial sets of the Bidding Documents will not be issued. Pre-Bid Conference: A Pre-Bid conference will be conducted on June 2nd, 2026 at 10:00 A.M., at the northerly intersection of Front Street and Franklin Avenue in the Village of Millbrook, New York. Manner of Bids Submitted: Bids shall be made on standard proposal forms furnished in the bid documents in the manner designated there, and required by the specifications, shall be enclosed in sealed envelopes, clearly marked on the outside with the following information: 1. The name and address of the bidder; The Contract Number(s) and Branch(es) of Work, as identified above for which the Bid is submitted, must be accompanied by the following in duplicate: (one original/one copy). 1. Bid Form. 2. A Public Entity Crimes Statement 3. A Drug-Free Workplace Certification 4. A Non-Collusion Affidavit. 5. Pre-Qualification Statement 6. A Bid Security in the form specified in the Bidding Documents to the order of the Village of Millbrook, in an amount of not less than five 5% percent of the total amount of the bid. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening except with the express written approval of the Owner. Owner’s Disclaimer/Owner’s Discretion to Accept or Reject Bids: The Owner assumes no responsibility, whatsoever, in connection with any defects arising out of the Bidding Documents or the receipt or failure to receive Bids, including those which may arise form delay for any reason, in obtaining or submitting the Bidding Documents, including but not limited to, traffic delay, messengering, mis-labeling, mis-directions from any source, mis-delivery, or otherwise. Any Bid, which does not fulfill the material requirements of the Bidding Documents will be rejected. When it is in its best interest to do so, the Owner may award the Contract in whole or in part, select any combination of Bids, or may waive any informalities in or reject any or all Bids. Sarah J.
