Notice of Service by Publication on National Students for Justice in Palestine Case: Horowitz v. AJP Educational Foundation, Inc. d/b/a American Muslims for Palestine, and National Students for Justice in Palestine, Case No. 1:25-cv-3412 (ALC) (S.D.N.Y) Nature of the action: Plaintiff Ami Horowitz has brought suit against National Students for Justice in Palestine (NSJP) related to a mass attack against him by protestors at an encampment at the City College of New York Campus on April 26, 2024. Plaintiff Horowitz's claims against NSJP are for aiding and abetting assault and battery and civil conspiracy based on NSJP's role supporting, encouraging, and organizing unlawful, violent activity at the encampment that led to the attack against him.
Relief sought: Plaintiff seeks compensatory, consequential, and punitive damages in an amount to be determined at trial, plus pre-judgment and post-judgment interest and costs.
Sum to be taken in case of default: If a default judgment is awarded against NSJP, Plaintiff is entitled to a sum to be determined by the Court.
A copy of the summons to National Students for Justice in Palestine issued by the Court follows.
