Public hearing on Community Development Block Grant Program scheduled for April 20, 2026.

LEGAL NOTICE NOTICE OF SECOND PUBLIC HEARING Community Development Block Grant Program The Common Council, of the City of Hornell, New York, has scheduled a second public hearing for Monday, April 20, 2026. The hearing will begin at 6:30 PM and take place at City Hall, 82 Main Street, Hornell, NY 14843. The public hearing will be held to provide residents with information about a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program implemented by the City. The City received approval for $615,000 in Fiscal Year 2022 for CDBG Economic Development grant funding to assist Indus 36, LLC (Hampton Inn) with furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) expenses related to its development of the 80-room Hampton Inn business hotel, which opened in August 2023 on State Route 36 adjacent to Hornell Plaza. Residents are invited to attend the hearing to comment on this project. The City will provide more detailed information at the hearing to comply with the legislative and program requirements which govern the Community Development Block Grant program. This information will also be posted on the City’s website at www.cityofhornell.gov. Hornell City Hall follows accessibility standards under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
