NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TOWN HURLEY FOR PROPOSED LOCAL LAW NO. 1 OF 2026 PLEASE TAKE NO- TICE that the Town Board of the Town of Hurley, Ulster County, New York, pursuant to the authority granted by Article IX of the New York State Constitution, Municipal Home Rule

Law §10, and Municipal Home Rule Law §20, will hold a Public Hearing on March 24, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. at Hurley Town Hall, 10 Wamsley Place, Hurley, New York, to consider the adoption of Proposed Local Law No. 1 of 2026, entitled: "A Local Law Changing the Meeting Date of the Board of Assessment Review of the Town of Hurley." The purpose of the proposed local law is to amend Chapter 3 of the Code of the Town of Hurley to change the date on which the Board of Assessment Review meets to hear complaints regarding property tax assess- ments. Specifically, the local law would change the grievance day meet- ing date from the fourth Tuesday in May to the first Thursday imme- diately following the fourth Tuesday in May, as authorized by Real Property Tax Law § 512(1-a). A copy of the proposed local law is available for viewing on the Town of Hurly Web- site at www.townofhur- leyny.gov and for public inspection at the Office of the Town Clerk, Hur- ley Town Hall, 10 Wams- ley Place, Hurley, New York, during regular business hours. All per- sons interested will be given an opportunity to be heard at the time and place aforesaid. At such hearing any person may be heard in favor of or against the law.
