PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE ON PROPOSED CHANGE OF TRAF- FIC AND PARKING SIGNAGE CITY OF RENSSELAER COM- MON COUNCIL WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Rensselaer has worked with the City Engineer in conducting an exten- sive Traffic and Parking Signage Study, and the City Engineer has now made recommended changes to the signage and parking patterns proposing an all way stop at the intersection of Broadway and Wash- ington Ave.; an all way stop at the intersection of Moch Terrace at Ai- ken Ave. and Aiken Ave. Extension.; and a No Parking Here to Corner sign at Washington Ave. near Anderson Place. WHEREAS, the Com- mon Council of the City of Rensselaer is further advised that the Mayor, Police Chief and DPW Commissioner all con- cur in the proposed sig- nage changes; and such WHEREAS, pro- posed signage changes appear appropriate as to form and effect, and it appearing appropri- ate for a Public Hear- ing to be scheduled so as to consider public comments on such pro- posed signage changes; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Rensselaer hereby approves the proposed signage changes as to form and effect; and BE IT FURTHER RE- SOLVED, that a Public Hearing will be held at 6:30 p.m. on February 18, 2026 at the City Hall of the City of Rensselaer located at 62 Washing- ton Street, Rensselaer, New York so as to allow the Common Council to hear Public Comment on the proposed sig-| nage changes. 02-13-2026 #NY0168378
