Legal Notices NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Notice is hereby given that the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Town of Evans will meet at the Evans Town Hall, 8787 Erie Road, Angola, New York 14006 on April 9th, 2026 at 6:00 P.M. The purpose of this meeting is to conduct a Public Hearing on the following appeals pursuant to Article IX of the Zoning Law of the Town, and hear all persons in favor of, or opposed to, the relief requested in said appeal: 1. Joesph Colern, of Elma NY 14059, is requesting to construct a new single family home on 617 Kennedy Ave, Angola, NY 14006 in violation of the Town of Evans Zoning Law Section 200-12(C)(1)(f)[4] minimum rear yard setback of 30ft wherein applicant is requesting +/- 20 ft. 2. Joesph Colern, of Elma NY 14059, is requesting to construct a new single family home on 395 Eisenhower Ave, Angola, NY 14006 in violation of the Town of Evans Zoning Law Section 200-12(C)(1)(f)[4] minimum rear yard setback of 30ft wherein applicant is requesting +/- 20 ft. 3. Thomas Felt, of 933 Bennett Rd, Angola, NY 14006, is requesting to construct a fence, in violation of the Town of Evans Zoning Law Section 200-34(A) No fence in a residential district shall exceed 6ft in height except where it abuts a nonresidential district, wherein applicant is proposing to construct an 8ft fence abutting a residential property. 1. Mary and Stephen Blidy, of 9915 Versailles Rd, Angola, NY 14006 is requesting to construct a Auxiliary Housing, in violation of the Town of Evans Zoning Law Section 200-34(A) A special use permit shall be required by the Board of Appeals for the Auxiliary housing unit & 200-34(C) The Auxiliary housing unit shall not exceed 500 square feet of the space within the principal dwelling unit feet, wherein applicant is proposing to construct an Auxiliary housing unit of 1056 square feet. 2. Robert McGinty of 643 Hickory Rd, Angola, NY 14006 is requesting to construct a Auxiliary housing unit in violation of the Town of Evans Zoning Law Section 200-34(A) A special use permit shall be required by the Board of Appeals for the Auxiliary housing unit. 4. Edwin Marchant, of 4889 Killarney Mnr, Hamburg, NY 14075, having applied for a variance allowing him to construct a new single-family home at 631 Hickory Rd, Angola, NY 14006 where the existing home is being demolished in violation of the Town of Evans Zoning Law Section 200-12(C)(1)[d], whereby Hickory Rd is undedicated, and said variance having been granted on October 9, 2025. The applicant now seeks an extension of time to comply with and perfect the variance. And any other business that may presently be before the board.
