GENESEE COUNTY NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TOWN OF BETHANY NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held by the Town Board of the Town of Bethany at the Town Hall located at 10510 Bethany Center Road, East Bethany, New York on the 13th day of April 2026 commencing at _7:00__ p.m. to give citizens the opportunity to be heard regarding whether it be in the best interest of the Town of Bethany to pursue special legislation whereby Section 23 of the Town Law of the State of New York would be amended to include the following Subsection: * 38. Notwithstanding the provisions of subdivision one of this section, in the Town of Bethany, in the county of Genesee, the person performing the function of Town Clerk need not be an elector of such town, provided that such individual resides within an adjoining Town or Village within Genesee County. Provided, however, the person performing the function of Town Clerk in any other town shall be an elector of such town, unless otherwise provided by act of the state legislature.
