VILLAGE OF GROTON PUBLIC NOTICE PUBLIC HEARING ON TENTATIVE BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2026-2027 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN in accordance with Section 5-508 of the Village Law, that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Groton, NY, will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, April 20, 2026, at 7:30pm on the Tentative Budget for the fiscal year beginning on June 1, 2026. The hearing will be held at the Groton Village Municipal Building, 308 Main Street, Groton NY. A copy of the Tentative Budget will be available for inspection during usual business hours and will be posted on the Village website (www.grotonny.gov) prior to the meeting date. In accordance with Section 4-412 (9) of the Village Law and Section 209-b of the General Municipal Law, a portion of the public hearing will be devoted to 2026-2027 fire and ambulance contracts with the Groton Fire Department. The proposed contract for fire protection is $157,000 and for ambulance service is $164,500.
