LIVINGSTON COUNTY LOCAL LAW LEGAL NOTICE ADOPTION OF LOCAL LAW No. 2 FOR 2026 TOWN OF YORK PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that on April 14, 20265, there was presented to the Town Board of the Town of York New York, proposed Local Law No. 2 for 2026. Local Law No. 2 of 2025 is a Local Law to Amend Article IV of the Zoning Ordinance of the Town of York, Livingston County, New York to Modify Requirements for Residential Dwellings.. After holding a public hearing on April 14, 2026, as required by Town Law, and having complied with the requirement of notice and publication to consider such Local Law, the Town Bord of York did adopt such Local Law as Local Law No. 2 for 2026. This Local Law provides for the following amendments to the Zoning Ordinance: > 1. Section 513: Revises the minimum the minimum dwelling unit sizes for 1-, 2-, and multi-family dwellings and accessory dwelling units from 860 ft2 for all dwelling units to: 1,000 sq ft for 1-family dwellings; 550 sq. ft. for 2-family dwelling units; 550 sq. ft. for accessory dwelling units; 550 sq ft for one bedroom multi-family dwelling units; 650 sq ft for two bedroom multi-family dwelling units; and 800 sq. ft for three bedroom multi-family dwelling units. Minimum dwelling units sizes for single- and double-wide manufactured homes are unchanged from that required in Section 522. 2. Section 400: Reducing minimum lot sizes from 3 acres to 30,000 sq ft in Agricultural (A) districts. 3. Section 400: Reducing the minimum lot frontage from 250 feet to 150 feet in Agricultural (A) districts 4.
