NOTICE OF COMPLETION OF TENTATIVE ASSESSMENT ROLL
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE Assessor of the Town of Catharine, County of Schuyler, has completed the Tentative Assessment Roll for the current year and that a copy has been left with the Town Clerk at the Town Hall. It may be seen and examined by any interested person on-line, at the Town or County website by the fourth Thursday in May. Go to schuylercountyny.gov/ select Real Property Tax Service from the Departments menu.
The Assessor can be reached regarding the Tentative Assessment Roll, by e-mail at jryan@schuylercountyny.gov or by phone at 607-535-8118. Those wishing to file a formal complaint must file the form RP-524. The form can be filed in person, emailed to schuylercountyny.govor mailed to the assessor’s attention at the Real Property Tax Service, 105 9th Street Unit 14, Watkins Glen, NY 14891. Taxpayers are encouraged to file no later than May 28th, 2026, to ensure that they receive an appointment for grievance day. Forms received after the 28th may be subject to an adjourned hearing.
The Board of Assessment Review will meet on May 28th, 2026, between the hours of 4 and 8 PM, at the Catharine Town Hall to review and examine all complaints in relation to assessments, on written application of any person believing himself to be aggrieved. Complainants may participate in person or have the option of being contacted by telephone during those hours to review their written application with the Board of Assessment Review.
