ESSEX COUNTY NOTICE OF MEETING TOWN OF ESSEX Public Hearing - Proposed Comprehensive Plan PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Town Board of the Town of Essex, Essex County, New York, will hold a public hearing on May 14, 2026, at 5:30PM at the Essex Town Hall, 2313 Main Street, Essex, New York, to consider the adoption of an updated Comprehensive Plan for the Town of Essex. The proposed Comprehensive Plan has been prepared with the assistance of the Essex Comprehensive Plan Committee, which conducted public outreach, held a public hearing on the draft plan, and incorporated public comments into the final draft now under consideration. The purpose of this hearing is to provide an opportunity for residents, property owners, and other interested parties to comment on the proposed Comprehensive Plan prior to its consideration for adoption by the Town Board. A copy of the proposed Comprehensive Plan is available for public review at the Town Clerk’s Office during regular business hours and on the Town’s website at https://www.essexnewyork.com. All persons will be given an opportunity to be heard. Written comments may also be submitted to the Town Clerk at townclerk@townofessexny.gov or 2313 Main Street, Essex, New York 12936 prior to the hearing or within 30 days after the public hearing.
