Legal Notice # 21934618 INCORPORATED VILLAGE OF FARMINGDALE PUBLIC HEARING PLEASE BE ADVISED, that a public hearing will be held by the Board of Trustees of the Inc. Village of Farmingdale on Monday, June 1, 2026 at 8:00 p.m. at Village Hall, 361 Main Street, Farmingdale, NY 11735, to consider the adoption of Local Law 2 of 2026 to amend the Zoning Code of the Incorporated Village of Farmingdale, Article XXV, Setback Areas, 600-198 to read as follows: A. Except as permitted under the provisions of 600-199 and 600-200 of this article, no building or structure shall hereafter be erected, nor shall any building hereafter be reconstructed, extended or structurally altered, so as to encroach upon the setback area of any lot or plot within the Village of Farmingdale, nor shall such building or structure extend in, over or upon such setback area. B. Notwithstanding the requirements of 600-198(A), or 600-6, the Superintendent of Buildings for the Incorporated Village of Farmingdale shall have the discretion to allow mechanical equipment such as air conditioning equipment in the setback areas, subject to reasonable conditions established by, and in the sole discretion of, the Superintendent of Buildings for the Incorporated Village of Farmingdale. All parties in interest and citizens will be given an opportunity to be heard at such hearing.
