WASHINGTON COUNTY LEGAL NOTICE PUBLIC HEARING CONCERNING INTRODUCTORY LOCAL LAW D OF 2026 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Washington County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing in the Supervisors’ Chambers, Washington County Municipal Center, Building B, 383 Broadway, Fort Edward, New York on May 15, 2026 at 10:05 AM to consider the adoption of proposed Introductory Local Law D of 2026 prohibiting the sale of Nitrous Oxide chargers in Washington County except to businesses with appropriate food sale permits or licenses. This local law shall be known as the “Washington County Nitrous Oxide Consumer Protection Act” and attempts to limit the sale of nitrous oxide containers to legitimate food-related businesses that hold permits under relevant New York State laws and regulations, thereby limiting the likelihood of abuse.
