PERMITS APPLIED FOR: Chapter 325, Wetlands – Wetlands Permit Application
PROJECT DESCRIPTION AND LOCATION
Application is for a Wetlands Permit, pursuant to Chapter 325 of the Town of Southampton Wetlands Code, to legalize approximately 85 linear feet of approximate 8-10 feet high residential treated wood tie retaining walls, with pvc discharge pipes, located, at their closest point, 37.8 feet from wetlands; to legalize the unauthorized clearing of natural vegetation, fill deposition and grade modifications behind and landward of the unauthorized retaining walls, which were completed in order to create extended level residential rear yard area on formerly sloping forested ground, necessitating clearing of natural vegetation, located approximately 38 feet from wetlands; to legalize the establishment of vehicular parking area atop the retaining walls and filled land, as well as a dirt access drive running along the east side of an existing two story dwelling, located approximately 40 feet from wetlands; to legalize construction of a 12 ft. x 12 ft. shed and an 11.4 ft. x 12 ft. adjacent roof over parking area, located atop the retaining wall on filled land, at their closest point, 38.1 feet from wetlands; to legalize the northerly extension of a pre-existing lower rear yard residential deck, over dirt area, with steps, located approximately 79 feet from wetlands; to legalize masonry patio with outdoor brick kitchen/barbeque, located approximately 55 feet from wetlands; to legalize installation of chicken coop and associated fence, partially within abutting county preserved land, located atop the wall on filled land, approximately 46 feet from wetlands; to legalize extended rear concrete patio partially below the existing upper deck, located approximately 55 feet from wetlands; to legalize installation of above-ground propane tanks, on the west and east sides of the dwelling, located, at their closest point, 87 feet from wetlands; to legalize westerly drive addition and associated supporting retaining wall on sloping ground, located approximately 98 feet from wetlands; and to rectify retaining wall, fence and site disturbance encroachments, within abutting County preserved land, at existing residentially developed property, fronting Wildwood Lake Lagoon and containing town and state regulated freshwater wetlands, in Northampton, Town of Southampton, Suffolk County, New York, in accordance with the survey prepared by Michael K. Wick, dated June 24, 2021, last revised August 11, 2022
Subject premises are situated at 40 Pine Court, Northampton in an R-10 zoning district.
The parcel is identified as SCTM No. 900-164-3-48 and takes in 11,069 square feet.
STATE ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY REVIEW (SEQR) DETERMINATION
The project is classified a Type II Action, and is exempt from SEQRA review.
