ERIE COUNTY LEGAL NOTICE LEGAL NOTICE TOWN OF TONAWANDA COMPLETION OF 2026 TENTATIVE ASSESSMENT ROLL (Pursuant to Section 501 and 506 of the Real Property Tax Law) Notice is hereby given that as of May 1, 2026 the Assessor of the Town of Tonawanda has completed the 2026 Tentative Assessment Roll pursuant to Section #501 and Section #506 of the Real Property Tax Law. The Assessment Roll will be open for public viewing from May 8, 2026, up to and including May 26, 2026 at the Tonawanda Municipal Building, 2919 Delaware Avenue, Tonawanda, New York, 14217 during the work hours of 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM and on the Town of Tonawanda website https://www.tonawanda.ny.us/government/assessor.html per requirement of RPTL section 1590 (2). The Assessor will be in attendance with the Tentative Assessment Roll Thursday, May 14, 2026 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM and Saturday, May 16, 2026 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM by appointment only . Appointments are to be scheduled via phone or email to kgallivan@tonawanda.ny.us. The Town of Tonawanda Board of Assessment Review will meet on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at the Tonawanda Municipal Building, 2919 Delaware Avenue, Tonawanda, New York, 14217, to hear and examine all verified written complaints in relation to such assessments. A completed grievance application and any supporting documentation must be submitted to the Assessor's Office, 2919 Delaware Avenue – Room #3, Tonawanda, NY 14217, during business hours, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, by Grievance Day for review by the Board of Assessment Review, on or before Tuesday, May 26, 2026. No electronic submissions will be accepted.
