ONEIDA COUNTY ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID Request for Proposal The Oriskany Falls Volunteer Fire Department is seeking bids for the following: Replacement of our 30-year-old Weil-McLain P-768-W, 248000 BTU oil fired, hot water boiler. This unit is the sole heating and hot water source for our 60ft x 80ft pole barn style firehouse building that houses our apparatus, meeting room, offices and kitchen. The bid must include the following: · Appropriately sized propane fueled hot water boiler heating unit with minimum 90% efficiency. · Installation of the new equipment in the existing location with connection to our current heating delivery infrastructure and hot water heater. · Burner control package. · New circulators and new near boiler piping. · New expansion tank and air elimination package. · New zone controller and digital thermostats. · Exhaust vent to code (may use existing chimney). · Removal and disposal of the existing equipment. · Installation of fuel delivery line from holding tank(s) to the new unit. · Electrical installation per codes with shutoff at boiler location. · Fill and cycle the new system to ensure proper operation. · Limited lifetime warranty of the heat exchanger with a 2-year warranty on entire unit for parts and labor. NOTE: This project is funded by grant monies from the New York State Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services (DHSES). As part of this grant funding, the project will be subject to the requirements of the New York State Executive Law Article 15-A to promote opportunities for the participation of certified minority or women owned business enterprises (MWBE), as well as the employment of minority group members and women in the performance of the project. The MWBE goals established for this project are 15% of the contract for MBE and 15% of the contract for WBE. MWBE vendors are encouraged to apply to this solicitation. If awarded, the project MUST be completed by October 31, 2026.
