BID NOTICE TOWN OF BETHLEHEM CLAPPER ROAD WTP CHEMICAL BULK STORAGE REPLACEMENT CONTRACT 1G Sealed bids will be received by the Town of Bethlehem Town Clerk’s Office, 445 Delaware Avenue, Delmar, NY 12054 until 2 p.m. (local time), April 9, 2026, at which time they will be publicly opened and read. The work site is located at the Town's Clapper Road Water Treatment Plant, at 217 Clapper Road, Selkirk, NY 12158. The work includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion the work shown on the Drawings and described in these Specifications including, but not necessarily limited to, the following: * Demolition of the existing FRP chemical bulk storage tanks consisting of a 4,000-Gallon Poly Aluminum Chloride Tank (Tank 3363), 4,000-Gallon Ortho & Poly Phosphate Blend Tank (Tank 3364), and 5,000-Gallon Sodium Hydroxide Tank (Tank 3365). Demolition shall also include removal of all level sensors, fill and vent piping, and associated components. * Installation of three new XLPE bulk storage tanks consisting of 4,000 and 5,000 gallon Sodium Hydroxide Tanks (Tank 3363 & 3365), and a 4,000-Gallon Ortho & Poly Phosphate Blend Tank (Tank 3364). Tanks will be equipped with integrally molded connections, radar level sensors, fill ports, overfill alarm panel, and associated piping and fittings. * Temporary chemical storage and pumping systems to keep system fully operational throughout construction. Complete sets of the Drawings, Specifications, and Bid Forms may be obtained via Bidnet in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Contractors that obtain Contract Documents from a source other than the Issuing Office must notify the Issuing Office in order to be placed on the official Plan Holders List, receive Addenda, and other Bid correspondence. Bids received from Contractors other than those on the official Plan Holders list will not be accepted. A prebid conference will be held at 10 a.m. on March 26, 2026, at the Clapper Road Water Treatment Plant, 217 Clapper Road, Selkirk, NY. Representatives of the Owner and Engineer will be present to discuss the Project. Bidders are encouraged to attend and participate in the conference. All bids must be made on the official Bid Form and the Contractor shall submit an original and an exact copy by reproduction thereof and enclosed in a sealed envelope. This is a lump sum bid as described in the Instructions To Bidders. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within forty-five calendar days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of five percent of the base bid in accordance with the Instructions To Bidders. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish construction performance and payment bonds in the full amount of the contract price. The successful bidder will be required to comply with all provisions of the Federal Government Equal Employment Opportunity clauses issued by the Secretary of Labor on May 21, 1968 and published in the Federal Register (41CFR Part 60-1, 33 F.2 7804). Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive any and all informalities and the right to disregard all nonconforming, non-responsive or Conditional Bids.
