BROC Weatherization 
Subcontracting BID

Blue Ridge Opportunity 
Commission, Inc. (BROC) is accepting bids from licensed HVAC, Electrical and Plumbing Contractors. Contractors will be used to service and/or install heating and cooling systems,
perform minor electrical repairs, install exhaust fans and 
perform minor plumbing repairs for the Weatherization 
Assistance Program as needed.

The Weatherization Assistance Program is under the NC 
Department of Environmental Quality grant for low-income families in Alleghany, Ashe and Wilkes counties during the 
period of 7/01/26– 6/30/2027.

All contractors must be 
licensed in the state of North Carolina and provide proof of 
liability, auto and workers 
compensation insurances.

Minorities, women, Veterans, disabled owned businesses and Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUB) are 
encouraged to participate in the process.
