PUBLIC NOTICE Private/Home School Administrators   In accordance with Federal Law 300.134, and as a process of developing the IDEA-Part B (611) Federal Grant, each year the Department of Exceptional Children schedules a time to meet with private/home school administrators to provide information regarding the proportionate share of Federal funds available to serve parentally-placed private/home school children with disabilities and to provide consultation regarding how those funds are used. Representatives of private/home schools located in the Iredell-Statesville School attendance zone are invited to schedule a time to meet with the Executive Director of Exceptional Children, Andrew Mehall, on May 15 & 18, 2026, from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm, and May 19, 2026, between the hours of 8 am & noon. Call (704) 873-9432 to schedule an appointment.  Publish: May 9, May 12, May 14, 2026.
