NOTICE TO BID
The Boone County Fiscal Court will receive bids via the County's electronic bidding system until 2:00 p.m. (local time), Thursday, June 1, 2026 from qualified vendors to perform the services associated with the BCFY26-71 Boone County Safe Streets for All (SS4A) Project. This project is for safety improvements along various County Roads: Camp Ernst Road, Hicks Pike, Litton Lane, Longbranch Road, and Rogers Lane, and including all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete the project. Bids must be submitted electronically. Late, hand delivered (paper), emailed or facsimile bids will not be accepted. Bids will be opened online at the time listed above.
Specifications, plans, addenda, and question and answers may be obtained and downloaded electronically by visiting our electronic bidding website via the link on our County's website at https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/boonecountyky.
Each bidder is required to submit with their bid, a bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the base bid, or certified check equal in amount to five percent (5%) of the base bid. The bidder to whom the contract is awarded will be required to furnish a surety bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Bid security furnished in bond form shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Kentucky to provide said surety. Bids must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the same and all persons interested therein. It is the intent and requirement of the Boone County Fiscal Court that this project be completed no later than November 30, 2026. Please note due to Federal Funding, this project is subject to the Federal Davis-Bacon Act wage requirements. The successful bidder will be required to have a current Occupational License in Boone County before the contract is awarded. Bidders and subcontractors must be pre-qualified with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet at the time of the bid to be eligible for award.
No Pre-Bid Meeting will be held for this project. A Pre-Construction Meeting will be held at Boone County Public Works with the awarded contractor before a notice to proceed with work will be issued.
Boone County reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities, or to accept that bid which is deemed the most desirable and advantageous from the standpoint of customer value and service and concept of operations, even though such bid may not, on its face, appear to be the lowest and best price. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after scheduled time of receipt of bids.
