INVITATION TO BID Sealed proposals for improvements for CHIP SEAL 2026 Guernsey County, Ohio will be received by the Guernsey County Commissioners, 627 Wheeling Ave., Cambridge, OH, 43725, at 10:00 a.m., Local Time, April 9, 2026 and then and there the bids will be publicly opened and read. The work under this improvement consists of everything necessary to complete the project as shown by the plans and specifications for said items on file in the office of the County Engineer, 62782 Bennett Ave., Cambridge, Ohio 43725. Complete specifications, including contract and proposal forms and full information for bidders may be obtained from the Office of the County Engineer. Plans and specifications will be mailed as soon as possible after receipt of the request. There is a $50.00 non-refundable charge for the plans and specifications, cash or check made payable to the Guernsey County Engineer. The following forms must be completed and submitted as the bid package: BF 1-1A Proposal Bond, BF 2 Experience Statement, BF 3 Time of Completion, BF 4 Personal Property Tax Affidavit, and BF 5 Proposal Forms, Ohio wage rate apply to this state funded project. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check or a bid bond in an amount equal to 5% of total bid tendered and made payable to the Guernsey County Commissioners, as a guarantee that, if the proposal is accepted, a contract will be entered into in accordance therewith, and the check of successful bidder will be returned upon proper execution of contract with successful bidder. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond in the amount of 100% of his total bid, Certificate of Insurance, Workers Compensation Certificate. Please mark all envelopes: CHIP SEAL 2026. For the convenience of each prospective bidder, a pre-bid conference will be held on March 31st, 2026, 10:00 a.m. in the County Engineer's Office, 62782 Bennett Ave., Cambridge, OH, 43725. ONLY ODOT PRE-QUALIFIED CONTRACTORS ARE ELIGIBLE TO SUBMIT BIDS FOR THIS PROJECT. Engineer's Estimate: $895,705.00, State Prevailing Wage The owner reserves the right to waive any formalities or to reject any and all bids.
