Lead Service Line Replacement Project – Phase 2
General Notice
City of Cambridge (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project:
Project # 26-02 - Lead Service Line Replacement Project – Phase 2
Bids for the construction of the Project will be received at the City Administration Building located at 814 Wheeling Avenue, until March 11, 2026 at 2:00 pm local time. At that time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read.
The Project includes the following work:
This project will consist of the removal and replacement of water service lines that are constructed utilizing lead piping. The contractor will be responsible for investigating the service line, installing new service line, tapping the watermain and connecting new service line, abandoning existing tap, and rehooking to customer's service line if it is not lead or galvanized piping. If lead or galvanized piping is found on the customer service line the contractor will be responsible for the replacement of the service line into the customer's home to their internal shutoff.
Bids are requested for the following Contract: Project # 26-02 - Lead Service Line Replacement Project – Phase 2
Owner anticipates that the Project's total bid price will be approximately $499,960.00. The Project has an expected duration of 180 calendar days.
Obtaining the Bidding Documents
The City of Cambridge Engineer's Office for the Bidding Documents is located at:

Prospective Bidders may obtain the Bidding Documents at the City of Cambridge Engineer's Office on Monday through Friday between the hours of 7 am and 3 pm. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the City of Cambridge Engineer's Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the City of Cambridge Engineer's Office.
Bidding Documents may be purchased from the City of Cambridge Engineers Office by paying a non-refundable $100.00 deposit for each set. Make deposit checks for Bidding Documents payable to the City of Cambridge. Bidding Documents may be purchased from the City of Cambridge Engineer's Office during the hours indicated above. Cost does not include shipping charges. Upon the City of Cambridge Engineer's Office's receipt of payment, printed Bidding Documents, or electronic documents will be sent via the prospective Bidder's delivery service. The shipping charge amount will depend on the shipping method chosen.
Pre-bid Conference
A mandatory pre-bid conference for the Project will be held on February 25, 2026 at 2:00 pm at the City of Cambridge Administration Building's Council Chambers located at 814 Wheeling Avenue Cambridge, Ohio, 43725. Bids will not be accepted from Bidders that do not attend the mandatory pre-bid conference.
