LEGAL NOTICE
Sealed bids will be received by the Ross County Commissioners at the Board of Ross County Commissioners, 2 North Paint St., Suite H, Court House, Chillicothe, Ohio, 45601, Monday through Friday 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M., until Tuesday, May 26, 2026, 9:30 A.M. and opened at that time for Paving, Striping (Pavement Marking) and Planing (Milling) various County and Township Roads in Ross County. Project to be managed by the Ross County Engineer.
Bid proposals and specifications for these improvements may be obtained at the office of the Ross County Engineer, 755 Fairgrounds Road, P.O. Box 458, Chillicothe, Ohio 45601, Monday through Thursday, 7:30 A.M. until 4:00 P.M.
Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal, a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety.
The owner intends to award the Contract in Two Phases.
Phase one will be for those roads funded locally.
Phase two will be for those roads financed with OPWC Issue One funding with the award expected on or before July 13, 2026. Issue One funding is not expected to be allocated until July 6, 2026 Pursuant to O.R.C. 153.12. The awarded bidder will be expected to consent to the execution of the contract for Phase Two not taking place until on or about July 20, 2026 provided sufficient Issue One funds have been allocated. If sufficient Issue One funds are not allocated by July 20, 2026, Ross County reserves the right to rescind the award for Phase Two.
The completion date for this project will be no later than October 23, 2026.
Prevailing wage rates to be paid under this contract shall be those ascertained by the Ohio Department of Commerce, Bureau of Wage and Hour.
The 2023 Construction and Material Specifications of the State of Ohio Department of Transportation shall apply to this project.
All bidders must confirm to Section 153.59 of the Revised Code concerning discrimination.
The Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive irregularities.
