A pre-bid conference will be held on site Wednesday April 8th at 1:30 at the existing building located at 75 South Church Street, Hazleton, PA 18201. All interested contractors are encouraged to attend. The project description is as follows: The Greater Wyoming Valley Area YMCA is excited to announce the upcoming 2nd floor renovations of our existing facility. The project area is primarily inside of the existing building 2nd floor (approx. 3,000 SF) and in existing 2 stair towers. Work included in the project will be limited selective demolition as it relates to the new construction scope of work, completion of the fit-out of the 2nd floor space that includes new walls, doors, flooring, ceilings, mechanical, plumbing and fire protection. This project aims to enhance the available space and functionality of the YMCA's amenities for all members and the Public. This project will be financed in part by a Statewide Local Share Account (LSA) grant from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania acting through the Department of Community and Economic Development, under the direction of the Commonwealth Financing Authority. A copy of the grant agreement is included as Attachment A in the bid package and is considered as part of the bid documents. Contract Documents, including specifications, may be obtained on Wednesday April 1st, 2026 by contacting the Architect, Studio KLP Architects P.C., at 570-822-0991 x113. After providing company information (company name, address, phone number, contact person, email), a weblink will be emailed to download the bid document electronic pdf files via a shared folder. Hard copies also can be provided at contractor cost at Gold Star Printing, 37 N Washington St, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18701, (570) 270-5566 upon the receipt of the contractor information by the Architect. All addenda will also be available for download through the same website/ shared folder. It is the responsibility of the General Contractor and the sub-contractors to check and incorporate any addenda into the bid. If all the addenda are not included in the submitted bid, the bid will be rejected.
