LEGAL NOTICE Road & Sidewalk Program Sealed bids will be received by the Chief of Staff/Director of Public Service in the City of Stow, Ohio, until 12:00 Noon EST, March 12, 2026 and then publicly opened in Council Chambers at City Hall, 3760 Darrow Road,Stow, Ohio, pursuant to Ordinance No. 2025-234 for the Road and Sidewalk Program in accordance with the specifications on file in the Public Service Department. Items to be bid: Asphaltic Materials (In Place in Stow, Hand Finished & Rolled as Required) Concrete (Finished, In Place) Roadway Striping HMA Crack Seal Sidewalk Replacement Lillian Road Sidewalk Connectivity Young Road Sidewalk Connectivity Detailed information, blank proposals, and complete specifications may be obtained from the Chief of Staff/Director of Public Service. Bidders must use the forms provided. Each proposal must contain the full name of the party(ies) making the same, and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must furnish with its proposal a bid guaranty and contract bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experience on projects of similar size and complexity, and list all subcontractors to be used. Bidders must comply with the laws governing the prevailing rate of wages to be paid to persons employed on public improvements and with all EEO regulations. The City of Stow, in determining the lowest, responsive, and responsible bidder in the award of this contract, may award a local bidder preference to any qualified bidder. The determination of whether a bidder qualifies for the local preference shall be made by the Board of Control; that decision shall be final. The City of Stow reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received, and to accept any bid in part or in whole, which is deemed most favorable to the City of Stow at the time and under the conditions stipulated.
