ERIE COUNTY NOTICE OF SECOND PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2026 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG)Erie County intends to apply to the State of Ohio - Department of Development for funding under the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Small Cities Formula Program, a federally funded program administered by the State of Ohio. Erie County is eligible to apply for $180,000 for the fiscal year 2026 under the CDBG Formula Grant. The purpose of the CDBG program is primarily to benefit low and moderate-income persons or aid in the prevention of slum and blight.The second of two public hearings will be held on May 20, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. in the third floor conference room of the Erie County Services Center, 2900 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky, Ohio 44870, to provide citizens with specific information regarding the CDBG program, and to review the proposed projects.Proposed projects include: * Volunteers of America Shelter $30,000 * OHgo $80,000 * Care & Share $50,000If you are unable to attend in person, Erie County encourages the public to provide their input via email regarding the County's Community Development Program and potential projects.
