Sealed bids for the “Park Improvements and Repairs” for Erie County Veterans Services, shall be hand delivered to the attention of Charles Solander, Erie County Veterans Services Office, at the Erie County Office Building, 2900 Columbus Avenue, 2nd Floor, Sandusky, Ohio 44870 or mailed to Charles Solander, Executive Director, Erie County Veterans Services Office, 2900 Columbus Avenue, 2nd Floor, Sandusky, Ohio 44870, at or before 11:00 A.M. local time on, May 13, 2026. The bids will be opened, read publicly and recorded at that time. (All bids should be clearly marked as such on the outside envelope.) Prime contractors may obtain copies of complete sets of the bidding documents from the Architect, Feick Design Group, Inc. 224 E. Water St, Sandusky, OH 44870, 419-625-2554 upon deposit of Twenty-Five Dollars ($25.00) for each set. Make checks payable to: Feick Design Group, Inc. If, within ten (10) days after the time set for receipt of bids, the documents are returned in good condition, deposits of those bidders, who submit bona fide proposals for a prime contract, will be fully refunded for one complete set of the documents only. Documents may be sent regular mail with a separate Twenty Dollars ($20.00) postage and handling fee, or overnight mail with Thirty Dollars ($35.00), fee paid in advance. Drawings can also be sent electronically with no deposit required. For electronic documents send an email requesting bidding document to feickja3@gmail.com. Ohio Revised Code Sections 9.311 (A) and 9.311 (B) requires that any bidder who submits a bid for rendering of services, or the supplying of materials or the construction, public building, structure, highway, or improvement shall submit a bid bond, performance bond, payment bond, or combination of such bonds, conforming to Section 153.571 of the Ohio Revised Code, executed by a surety of surplus lines company approved by the Superintendent of Insurance of the State of Ohio. If the surety or surplus lines company is not approved by the State of Ohio, the bid shall be deemed non-responsive and shall be rejected. A Certified Check, a Cashier's Check or a Bank Letter of Credit in conformity with the requirements of Section 153.54 and 153.71(b) of the Ohio Revised Code is also an acceptable form of bid security. If no bid guarantee is submitted with the Form of Proposal the bid shall be deemed non-responsive and shall be rejected. The Erie County Veterans Services is required to conform to Section 4115.07 of the Ohio Revised Code with regard to the payment of minimum wage rates. The Erie County Veterans Services reserve the right to accept or reject any or all bids in whole or in part, to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received, and to accept any bid which it deems favorable. The successful contractor will be required to execute a "Non-Collusion" affidavit and an affidavit that he is not delinquent in the payment of personal property taxes at the time of the award of the contract. Bids shall be made in duplicate and such bids shall be placed in a sealed envelope marked "Bid for “Park Improvements and Repairs” for Erie County Veterans Services”, as well as the name and address of the bidder in the upper left hand corner. No bid may be withdrawn, after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids, for at least sixty (60) days. By order of the Erie County Veterans Services, Sandusky, Ohio.
