CITY OF FRUITLAND NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Notice is hereby given of a public hearing to be held before the Fruitland City Council at Fruitland City Hall, 200 S. Whitley Drive, Fruitland, ID on Monday, June 8, 2026 at 7:00 PM , or as soon thereafter as may be heard, for the purpose of receiving public testimony regarding a proposed ordinance amending Title 10, Chapter 19, Section 8, Subsection 4(a), Fruitland City Code which adds Item (6) to establish separation from water, sewer, and storm sewer infrastructure; and safety standards for new pipelines used to transport fuel, oil, natural gas, petroleum liquids, and related products within Fruitland city limits:(6) All new pipelines for the conveyance of fuel, oil, oil and gas or petroleum liquids and condensates in Fruitland city limits will maintain a minimum 10' (ten foot) horizontal separation and 5' (five foot) vertical separation from water, sewer (gravity or force), and storm sewer mains within the City right-of-way and City easements, except where engineering has been approved by the City's Public Works Director, City Engineer and utility owner to provide equivalent protection. Sleeving of such pipelines will be required at water and sewer service line crossings.Citizens are invited to attend and provide written or oral comments regarding the above-mentioned requests.
