NOTICE THE SCHUYLKILL TOWNSHIP ZONING HEARING BOARD will meet at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at the Schuylkill Township Building, 111 Valley Park Road, Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, to hear the following: THE APPLICATION OF MYRON M. KOROBIJ, APPLICATION #2026-01. The property is UPI No. 27-5D-48, also known as 1312 Dorothy Avenue. The property, which is owned by the Applicant, is located in the R-2 Medium-Density Residential District of the Township and is approximately 0.3587 acres in area. The property is currently improved with a single-family detached dwelling, detached garage and driveway. The Applicant seeks a variance from §370-132.E(3)(Accessory use structure) of the Schuylkill Township Zoning Ordinance to permit the construction of a 728 square foot pole barn which will encroach approximately 8 feet into the 15 foot required side yard setback and approximately 33 feet into the 40 foot required rear yard setback; and such further relief as may be necessary. THE APPLICATION OF KATHY AND JOHN BIELAWSKI, APPLICATION #2026-02. The property is UPI No. 27-5B-46, also known as 1096 Brookwood Road. The property, which is owned by Jean Bielawski, is located in the R-1 – Low Density Residential District of the Township and is approximately 0.5369 acres in area. The property is currently improved with a single-family detached dwelling, driveway, detached garage, and swimming pool. The Applicants seek a variance from §370-20 (Permitted use regulations) to permit two residential uses on one lot, where it is otherwise not permitted. The Applicants also seek a variance from §370-136 (Change of use) to permit the conversion of the detached garage to an accessory dwelling unit; and such further relief as may be necessary.
