TOWN OF SULLIVAN'S ISLAND
Pursuant to Section 6-1-80 of the South Carolina Code of Laws, the Planning Commission will hold a public hearing at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at Town Hall, 2056 Middle Street, to gather public feedback on the following:
Proposed text amendments:
Modify subsection §21-20 D. of the Zoning Ordinance to delete erosion control structures from the prohibited uses list.
Modify subsection §21-20 B. of the Zoning Ordinance to create conditions for allowing erosion control structures in the RS, Single-Family Residential, Zoning District.
Modify section §21-69 of the Zoning Ordinance to alter the regulations for erosion control structures and to create separate regulations for those structures based on their location in either the RC-1 or RC-2, Recreation and Conservation, Zoning Districts.
