INVITATION FOR BIDS The City of Holland will receive bids for 2023 TA Downtown Pedestrian Improvements, until 2:00 pm on Thursday, May 28, 2026 at 107 W. Travis St., Holland, TX 76534. The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 2:00 pm on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at 107 W. Travis St., Holland, TX 76534. Bids are invited for several items and quantities of work as follows: 1. Base Bid: Installation and replacement of 1,525 SY ADA compliant concrete pedestrian sidewalk with 24 ADA ramps. Project includes revised parking for ADA compliant spaces and drainage conveyance. Bid/Contract Documents, including Drawings and Technical Specifications, may be obtained free of charge by registering with www.civcastusa.com. A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid. A certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Holland or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. Bidders are expected to inspect the site of the work and to inform themselves regarding all local conditions prior to submitting bids. A voluntary pre-bid conference will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at 2:00 pm at the City of Holland Community Center at 107 W. Travis St., Holland, TX 76534. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the state determined prevailing wage rate as issued by the Texas Department of Transportation and contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex age or national origin. Adherence to the City of Holland's Section 3 Policy is required for contract and subcontracts in excess of $100,000. The City of Holland reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by City of Holland for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award. Upon acceptance of successful bid and contract execution, the method of payment to the successful Contractor from the City of Holland for any work performed under this project shall be made by check.
