LEGAL NOTICE Destruction of Records Special Populations records that have been collected by the Prosper Independent School District related to the identification, evaluation, educational placement, or the provision of Special Populations services in the district, must be maintained under state and federal laws for a period of seven years after Special Populations services have ended for the student. Special Populations services end when the student is no longer eligible for services, graduates, moves from the district, and/or completes his or her educational program at age 22. School Health and Related Services (SHARS) providers must maintain records for at least seven years because they are both Medicaid and educational records.
