WASHINGTON COUNTY, VANOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGSThe Washington County Virginia Department of Zoning Administration has received the following application, which requires a public hearing before the Washington County Planning Commission. The Public Hearing will be held on Monday, May 18, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as may be heard.  The Washington County Board of Supervisors will then conduct Public Hearing on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at 6:30 p.m. An ordinance to amend The Code of the County of Washington, Chapter 66, Article V, Division 10.1, Section 66-434 (Setback Regulations) to amend the setback requirements in the R-3 zoning district from 25 feet from any street right-of-way to 20 feet from any street right-of-way.The public hearing will be held in the Board of Supervisors Auditorium at the County Administration Offices located at 1 Government Center Place; Abingdon, Virginia.
