NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION
The Planning Commission will hold public hearings on Thursday, May 28, 2026, beginning at 6:30 p.m. concerning the following requests:
REZONING AMENDMENT # RZ-26-0002: Request to amend the proffered conditions of Rezoning Case RZ-23-02 in order to develop a mini-storage facility in accordance with a conceptual plan different from what was previously approved. The subject property, zoned B-1, comprises 14.8 acres located at the intersection of Prince George Dr. and West Quaker Rd., and is identified as Tax Map 350(0A)00-044-A. The Comprehensive Plan indicates the property is planned for Commercial uses. This request was deferred to this date at the April 23, 2026, Planning Commission meeting.
SPECIAL EXCEPTION AMENDMENT # SE-26-0003: Request to modify the conditions of Special Exception Case SE-23-03 within a B-1 (General Business) Zoning District, pursuant to Prince George County Zoning Ordinance Section 90-393(15). The purpose of the request is to allow a mini-storage facility to be developed in accordance with a conceptual plan different from what was previously approved. The subject property is approximately 14.8 acres in size, located at the intersection of Prince George Dr. and West Quaker Rd., and is identified as Tax Map 350(0A)00-044-A. The Comprehensive Plan indicates the property is planned for Commercial uses. This request was deferred to this date at the April 23, 2026, Planning Commission meeting.
The public hearings will be held in the Board Room, third floor, County Administration Building, 6602 Courts Drive, Prince George, Virginia 23875. Materials related to the requests may be examined in the Planning Department, located in the County Administration Building between 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m., Monday–Friday, or by calling 804-722-8678 or emailing planning@princegeorgecountyva.gov. All interested persons are invited to participate in the public hearings in person. A live video stream will be available at https://www.princegeorgecountyva.gov/live_stream/. Public comments can be submitted prior to 4:30 p.m. on the public hearing date.
