CALL FOR BIDS NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids will be received by the Yakima County Public Services Department at their office on the 4th Floor of the County Courthouse at Yakima, Washington, until 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 19th, 2026 at which time the bids will be opened and publicly read for the letting of one contract involving the following work: Yakima County Project No. E2 280-3812 for the Cheyne Crushing and Stockpiling Project at Cheyne Quarry in Yakima County, Washington, with the following approximate principal quantities: Crushed Surfacing Base Course 40,000 Tons 1/2"-1/4” Crushed Screenings 70,000 Tons 1”-0” Crushed Screenings 9,000 Tons 1/4”-0” Crushed Screenings 9,000 Tons Yakima County ER&R funds are involved in the construction of this project. Yakima County, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, (78 Stat. 252, 42 USC 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award. All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier's check or surety bond payable to Yakima County Treasurer in an amount equal to five percent (5 %) of the total amount bid. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish a satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to Yakima County. Informational copies of maps, plans, and specifications are on file for inspection in the office of the County Engineer, 128 North 2nd Street, 4th Floor County Courthouse, Yakima, Washington 98901.
