TO: DARRELL MILLER RE: D.M. CASE NO.: 2025 CVDP 6627 NOTICE OF DEPENDENCY PETITION AND DEPENDENCY SUMMONS The below-named Petitioner has started an action in the Lummi Tribal Court asking it to find the child D.M. to be a Child in Need of Protection under LCL § 8.05.010. If the Court finds D.M. to be a Child in Need of Protection, D.M. may be ordered a ward of the Lummi Tribal Court in the custody of Lummi Child Welfare. You are required to appear at Lummi Tribal Court for the Fact-Finding Hearing set April 8, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. At this hearing, the Court will determine whether the child is in need of protection. Failure to appear at this hearing, or at subsequent hearings scheduled in this matter for which you have notice, may result in an order of default against you granting the relief requested. If you cannot for good cause appear personally at a hearing, you can request permission from the Court to appear telephonically.
