WHATCOM COUNTY NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT
Notice is hereby given that on November 7, 2025, The City of Blaine applied for a Conditional Use Permit under case number CUP2025-00009 to construct upgrades to the existing water infrastructure located on pipeline Road. The improvements include a new chlorination building and booster pump station.  The application was determined complete on January 8, 2026. indicating that all submittal requirements were met. The subject property is located on Pipeline Road. within Section 04, Township 40, Range 01 of W.M. Assessor's parcel number(s): 4001044743300000. The application will be reviewed under the Official Whatcom County Zoning and Critical Areas Ordinances, as well as reviews by Whatcom County Planning and Development Services (Fire Marshal's Office, Natural Resources and Planning), Public Works Engineering and Health Department. The file and supporting documents may be reviewed at Whatcom County Planning and Development Services, 5280 Northwest Drive, Bellingham, WA 98226. Any person may submit written comments to Charles Sullivan, the above address or at csulliva@co.whatcom.wa.us, within 14 days of the publication of this notice.  Written comments must be received by March 23, 2026.  Any person has the right to receive notice of and participate in any hearings, request a copy of the decision once made, and to appeal a decision when allowed by law.  In addition, any person wishing to receive personal notice of any decisions or hearings must notify the department to receive such notice.
