WHATCOM COUNTY NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A MAJOR VARAINCE
Notice is hereby given that on September 15, 2025, David Newberry applied for a major variance under case number var-maj2025-00004 to construct a new single-family residence. The applicant is proposing a reduction in the front yard setback from twenty (20) feet to ten (10) feet. The variance is required for the construction of a 731 square foot residence with a 565 square foot garage. The application was determined complete on September 31, 2025. indicating that all submittal requirements were met. The subject property is located at 8235 Park Ln Blaine WA, within Section 24, Township 40, Range 12 of W.M. Assessor's parcel number: 4051243391850000. The application will be reviewed under the Official Whatcom County Zoning and Critical Areas Ordinances, as well as reviews by Whatcom County Planning and Development Services (Fire Marshal's Office, Natural Resources and Planning), Public Works Engineering and Health Department.
