NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR SHORELINE MANAGEMENT
SUBSTANTIAL DEVELOPMENT PERMIT AND SEPA MITIGATED DETERMINATIOIN OF
NON-SIGNIFICANCE
Notice is hereby given that Katherine Rupert of Seaborn Companies, on behalf of Matthew Bomberger, has filed an application for a Shoreline Management Substantial Development Permit to: Remove existing unpermitted pier, underlying concrete slab and debris; remove 53% of failing rockery bulkhead and replace with concrete; install a new 40sf dock w/ grated decking and two (2) 4-inch piles; replace concrete walkway adjacent to bulkhead in same location with a smaller footprint; install pebble terrace behind existing bulkhead to remain; and install 7cy spawning gravel. The development activity is located within 200' of Lake Washington and its associated wetlands at 3072 80th Ave NE Hunts Point Road, Hunts Point, WA 98004, King County, Washington.
The Town of Hunts Point (Lead Agency), after review of a completed State Environmental Policy Act Checklist and other project information on file with the Town, has determined this proposal will not have a probable significant adverse impact on the environment and an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) is not required under RCW 43.21C.030(2)(c).
The Town of Hunts issued a MITIGATED DETERMINATION OF NON-SIGNIFICANCE (MDNS) under the State Environmental Policy Act Rules (Chapter 197-11 WAC) for the above project on April 23, 2026.
A separate Notice of Public Hearing will be posted and published at least 15 days prior to the required public hearing date. In the meantime, please contact Sue Israel, Deputy Clerk, 3000 Hunts Point Road, Hunts Point, WA 98004, in writing, to request additional information, submit comments on this application, and/or ask to be notified of any action taken. All requests and comments must be received within 15 days of this notice.
Written comments on the MDNS will be accepted by the Town of Hunts Point until May 15, 2026.
Copies of the Shoreline Substantial Development Application and the MDNS are available upon request from the Town of Hunts Point.
