PROJECT NAME: Spokane County Crisis Relief and Sobering Center
DESCRIPTION OF PROPOSAL: Spokane County seeks to expand the existing Spokane Regional Stabilization Center with a new 23-hour crisis relief and sobering center. The existing 19,000+/- Crisis Stabilization Center (residential treatment) will share a common intake point, lobby and support functions with the new 17,000+/- This new CRSC will provide a 24-chair observation room with necessary support facilities.
LOCATION OF PROPOSAL: Spokane County Parcel 35182.3704. Proposed address will be 1302 West Gardner Ave, Spokane, WA 99201 (T25N, R43E, Section 18).
LEAD AGENCY: Spokane County
ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW: The Public Works Department has reviewed the proposed project for probable adverse environmental impacts and expects to issue a determination of nonsignificance (DNS) for this project. The optional DNS process in WAC 197-11-355 is being used. This may be the only opportunity to comment on the environmental impacts of the proposed project. The proposal may include mitigation measures under applicable codes, and the project review process may incorporate or require mitigation measures regardless of whether an EIS is prepared. A copy of subsequent threshold determination for the specific proposal may be obtained upon request. Any SEPA appeal is governed by the Spokane Environmental Ordinance and such appeal shall be filed within fourteen (14) days after the notice that the determination has been made.
