ASSIGNED NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the Board of County Commissioners of Spokane County, Washington (“Board”) that a public hearing will be held in person on: TUESDAY, MAY 5, 2026 AT 2:00 P.M. (or as soon as possible thereafter) COMMISSIONERS' HEARING ROOM SPOKANE COUNTY PUBLIC WORKS BUILDING 1026 W. PURPOSE OF PUBLIC HEARING The purpose of the public hearing will be for the Board to consider public testimony and take action on the County Engineer's report on the Vacation proceedings which were initiated by John Konzal. Such road to be Vacated being more particularly described as follows: That Belmont Road Extension 30' right of way from Highway 27 west to Darknell Road located in the southwest quarter of Section 23, Township 24 North, Range 44, E.W.M., County, Washington; and That portion of Darknell Road 60' right of way from Gibbs Road to the north approx. 2,640' located in the southeast quarter of Section 22, Township 24 North, Range 44, E.W.M., and the southwest quarter of Section 23, Township 24 North, Range 44, E.W.M., Spokane County, Washington. ***** Any person may appear at the date, time and place set forth above and present testimony in favor of or in opposition to vacation of said BELMONT ROAD EXTENSION AND A PORTION OF DARKNELL ROAD. To create the opportunity for everyone attending the public hearing to speak, testimony may be limited to three (3) minutes per speaker. The Board reserves the right to adjust the time frame allotted to speakers as well as hearing procedures during the public hearing. Any written comments on the purpose of the public hearing must be received by April 30, 2026, no later than 12:00 NOON by gvasquez@spokanecounty.gov.
