IN THE MATTER OF THE VACATION OF UNNAMED RIGHT OF WAYS IN THE PLAT SYLVAN ADDITION TO MEADOW LAKE COUNTY ENGINEER'S ROAD FILE NO. 2326 NO ASSESSOR'S PARCEL NO. ASSIGNED

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the Board of County Commissioners of Spokane County, Washington (“Board”) that a public hearing will be held in person on:

TUESDAY, MAY 5, 2026 AT 2:00 P.M. (or as soon as possible thereafter)

PURPOSE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The purpose of the public hearing will be for the Board to consider public testimony and take action on the County Engineer's report on the Vacation proceedings which were initiated by Silver Lake Farms, LLC. Such road to be Vacated being more particularly described as follows:

Previously dedicated Rights of Way per the Sylvan Lake Addition to Meadow Lake Addition Plat recorded in volume “M” of plats, page 11, Records of Spokane County; situate in Section 28 of Township 24, Range 41 East, of the Willamette Meridian, in County of Spokane, State of Washington.

Tract 1: Beginning at the Northwest Corner of the Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 28. Thence Southerly along the West line of said Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter to the Southwest Corner of said Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter; Thence Easterly along the South line of said Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter a distance of 15.00 feet; Thence Northerly along a line parallel to the West line of the Southwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter to a point in the North line of the Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter. Thence Westerly along said North line 15.00 feet to the Point of Beginning

Tract 2: Beginning at the Southwest corner of Block 78 per the Sylvan Lake Addition to Meadow Lake Addition Plat. Thence along the South line of said Blocks 78 and 77 to the Southeast Corner of Block 77; Then South to the Northeast Corner of Block 80; Thence along the North line of Blocks 80 and 79 to the Northwest Corner of Block 79; Thence North to the Southwest Corner of Block 78 and the Point of Beginning.

Tract 3: Beginning at the Southwest Corner of the Northwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 28; Thence Easterly along the South line of said Northwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter to a point in the North Right of Way of Interstate 90; Thence along said Right of Way, North 44°58'31" East, 21.21 feet to a point where the South line of Block 87 intersects with the Right of Way of Interstate 90; Thence Westerly along the South line of Block 87 to the Southwest Corner of said Block 87; Thence Northerly along the West lines of said block 87 and Block 86 to the Northwest corner of Block 86, Thence 15 feet West along a line parallel to the North line of the Northwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter to a point in the West Line of said Northwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter; Thence Southerly along the West line of said Northwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter to the Point of Beginning.

Tract 4: Beginning at the Northwest Corner of the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 28.Thence Southerly along the West line of said Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter to a point in the Northwesterly Right of Way of Interstate 90; Thence along the North Right of Way of Interstate 90, North 44°58'31" East a distance of 21.18 feet, to the West Line of Block 95; Thence along the West line of Block 95 to the Northwest Corner of Block 95; Thence along the North line of said Block 95 to a point in the North Right of Way of Interstate 90; Thence along said Right of Way, North 44°58'31" East a distance of 21.21 feet to a point in the North line of the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter; Thence along said North line to the Point of Beginning.

Tract 5: Beginning at the Northwest Corner of the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 28. Thence Easterly along the North line of said Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter, to the Northeast Corner of the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter; Thence Southerly along the East line of Said Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter to a point in the North Right of Way line of Interstate 90; Thence along said Right of Way, South 44°58'31"West a distance of 21.18 feet to a point in the East line of Block 96; Thence along said East line of Block 96 to the Northeast Corner of Block 96; Thence along the North line of Blocks 96 and 97 to the Northwest Corner of Block 97; Thence along the West line of Blocks 97 and 98 to the Southwest Corner of Block 98; Thence along a line parallel to the South line of Section 28 to a point in the West line of the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 28; Thence along said West line to the Point of Beginning.

Any person may appear at the date, time and place set forth above and present testimony in favor of or in opposition to vacation of said UNNAMED RIGHT OF WAYS IN THE PLAT SYLVAN ADDITION TO MEADOW LAKE To create the opportunity for everyone attending the public hearing to speak, testimony may be limited to three (3) minutes per speaker. The Board reserves the right to adjust the time frame allotted to speakers as well as hearing procedures during the public hearing. Any written comments on the purpose of the public hearing must be received by April 30, 2026, no later than 12:00 NOON by gvasquez@spokanecounty.org.
