SEPA DETERMINATION OF NON-SIGNIFICANCE (DNS) Copper Creek Preliminary Plat, PLT25-0002 and SEP25-0004 The City of Auburn is issuing a Determination of Non-Significance (DNS), for the following described project. The project application and listed studies may be reviewed by contacting the Department of Community Development at planning@auburnwa.gov or by visiting www.auburnwa.gov/landuse. Proposal: Applicant seeks to subdivide 4 parcels into 107 lots for the construction of new residential, zero lot line townhouse style dwelling units. The proposed development is subject to additional standards outlined in the recorded Copper Creek Development Agreement. Location: The site is located in the Lea Hill area of Auburn within the SW and NW quadrants of Section 04 Township 21 North, Range 05 East Willamette Principal Meridian. Public Comment Period: This may be your only opportunity to comment on the environmental impact of the proposal. All persons may comment on this application. This DNS is issued under WAC 197-11-355; the lead agency will not act on this proposal for 15 days from the date issued below. Comments must be in writing and submitted by 5:00 p.m. on March 4, 2026, to the mailing address of 25 W Main St., Auburn, WA, 98001 or to the email address below. The City of Auburn has reviewed the proposed project for probable adverse environmental impacts and expects to issue a determination of nonsignificance (DNS) for this project. The responsible official will reconsider the DNS based on timely comments and may retain, modify, or, if significant adverse impacts are likely, withdraw the DNS. If the DNS is retained, it will be final after the expiration of the comment deadline. Any person wishing to become a party of record, shall include in their comments that they wish to receive notice of and participate in any hearings, if relevant, and request a copy of decisions once made. Any person aggrieved of the City's determination may file an appeal with the Auburn City Clerk at 25 W Main St., Auburn, WA 98001-4998 within 14 days of the close of the comment period, or by 5:00 p.m. on March 18, 2026.
