PORT OF GRAYS HARBOR CALL FOR BIDS- CONTRACT NO. 2323 FRIENDS LANDING BOAT LAUNCH PARKING LOT RENOVATION The Port of Grays Harbor is soliciting bids for Contract No. 2323 to provide improvements to existing boat launch parking facility at Friends Landing campground, located at 300 Katon Road, Montesano WA. The project includes paving and striping the parking lot area, installation of an ADA accessible boarding ramp, an automated pay station, an information kiosk, and various lighting improvements. These improvements will improve the accessibility of the boat launch, along with the traffic flow and trailer parking. Work consists of removal of certain existing features; site excavation; grading with aggregates; installing underground utilities and relocation and the addition of overhead utilities; ADA features; illumination systems; paving with HMA; trail restoration; traffic barrier; pavement markings; permanent signing; and other work, all in accordance with the Contract Plans, these Contract Provisions, and the Standard Specifications. Contractor will be required to furnish all materials, labor and equipment for a complete project. Award will take into consideration the lowest total base bid price to provide the services specified along with qualifications and experience of the bidder and the Ports budget capability. Bid documents will be available on Monday, February 9th, 2026, through Builders Exchange of Washington. Bids will not be accepted after 2:00:00 p.m. on February 27th, 2026. All bid proposals shall be accompanied by deposit in cash, certified check, cashiers check, or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. Should the successful Bidder fail to enter into a contract and furnish a satisfactory performance bond, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited. In accordance with RCW 42.56.100 and Port of Grays Harbor Resolution 2973, the Port makes the following rule: Public Bid Guidelines require that the Port of Grays Harbor maintain the integrity of official bid documents sets, provide swift response when incorporating addenda changes, and communicate in a singular, fair, and equitable manner to registered bidders. This process would interfere with the Ports obligations to maintain the integrity of the bid records if the Port were required to relinquish control over the bid documents during the bidding period. For this purpose, The Port of Grays Harbor has designated Builders Exchange of Washington {BXWA) as the official source of bid packages, which ensures that all bidders receive complete documentation, including all addendum, changes, and clarifications. BXWA provides prime bidders, subcontractors, suppliers, and other interested parties, virtual free-of-charge access to a complete set of project bid documents, including the ability to download, view, print, order full/partial plan sets from numerous reprographic sources, and free access to an online digitizer/take-off tool. Access to bidding information (plans, specifications, addenda, and Bidders List) is available through the Port of Grays Harbors on-line plan room. Free-of-charge access is provided to Prime Bidders, Subcontractors, and Vendors by going to www.bxwa.com and clicking on "Posted Projects", "Public Works", and "Port of Grays Harbor". This online plan room provides Bidders with fully usable online documents with the ability to: download, view, print, order full/partial plan sets from numerous reprographic sources, and a free online digitizer/take-off tool. It is recommended that Bidders Register in order to receive automatic e-mail notification of future addenda and to place themselves on the Self-Registered Bidders List". Bidders that do not register will not be automatically notified of addenda and will need to periodically check the online plan room for addenda issued on this project.
