Public Notice Mutual Materials Company, 605 119th Ave NE, Bellevue WA, 98005-3031, is seeking coverage under the Washington State Department of Ecology's Sand and Gravel General Permit. The facility, known as Mutual Materials Lacey Block Site, is located at 8760 Commerce Place Dr NE in Lacey, Thurston County. Activities at the facility may include any of the activities allowed under the Sand and Gravel General Permit (sand and gravel operations, rock quarrying, similar mining operations, stockpiling of mined materials, concrete batch plant operations, and/or hot mix asphalt operations) and are due to start on (or have begun operation on) 1/1/1999. This facility will discharge process water and/or stormwater to City of Lacey storm drain system. Ecology developed the Sand and Gravel General Permit with the expectation that sites covered under this permit will meet water quality standards including antidegradation requirements under WAC 173-201A-320. Any person desiring to present their views to the Department of Ecology regarding this application may do so in writing within thirty days of the last date of publication of this notice. Comments shall be submitted to the Department of Ecology.
