Notice is hereby given that the City Council of Tuscaloosa will meet in the Council Chamber of the City Hall, at 5 o'clock, P.M., on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 for the purpose of considering the adoption of a certain amendment to the Zoning Ordinance of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, being a change in zoning classification as hereinafter set out, and for the purpose of conducting a public hearing in relation thereto. At such time and place, parties in interest, citizens and all persons who desire, shall have an opportunity of being heard in opposition to, or in favor of, the adoption of said amendment to the Zoning Ordinance.

Said proposed amendment is a change in zoning classification and an amendment to the Zoning Ordinance, which is set out in a proposed ordinance as follows, to-wit:

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TUSCALOOSA, as follows:
That the Zoning Map of Tuscaloosa, adopted as a part of the Zoning Ordinance of Tuscaloosa be, and the same is hereby, amended and the following zoning classification is changed and established as follows:
A PARCEL OF LAND LOCATED IN SECTION 20, TOWNSHIP 21 SOUTH, RANGE 9 WEST, TUSCALOOSA COUNTY, ALABAMA AND BEING A PART OF LOTS 17-19 MCGUIRE SUBDIVISION, A PLAT OF WHICH IS RECORDED IN PLAT BOOK 4, PAGE 26 IN THE PROBATE OFFICE OF TUSCALOOSA COUNTY, ALABAMA CONTAINING ZERO AND FIFTY-EIGHT HUNDREDTHS (0.58) ACRES, MORE OR LESS AND BEING MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS:

The above referenced property is presently zoned Single Family Residential 4 (SFR-4) District to be zoned Mixed Residential 2 (MR-2) District.
