Notice is hereby given that the City Council of Tuscaloosa will meet in the Council Chamber of the City Hall, at 5 o'clock, P.M., on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 for the purpose of considering the adoption of a certain amendment to the Zoning Ordinance of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, being a change in zoning classification as hereinafter set out, and for the purpose of conducting a public hearing in relation thereto. At such time and place, parties in interest, citizens, and all persons who desire, shall have an opportunity of being heard in opposition to, or in favor of, the adoption of said amendment to the Zoning Ordinance.
If special accommodations or auxiliary aids are needed for participation at this hearing by persons with disabilities, please contact the City Clerk at least twenty-four (24) hours in advance at 248-5010 (voice) or 7-1-1 (TDD).
Said proposed amendment is a zoning re-classification and an amendment to the Zoning Ordinance in general as follows:
Approximately 1.25 acres located west of Lavera Drive at 2093 Veterans Memorial Parkway in Tuscaloosa, Alabama presently zoning Single Family Residential 1 (SFR-1) District to be zoned General Commercial (GC) District.
