DESERT RECREATION DISTRICT Located at 45-305 Oasis Street, Indio, CA 92201 NOTICE INVITING SEALED BID PROPOSALS (“IFB”) For WEEKLY UNIFORM RENTAL AND LAUNDERING SERVICES IFB # 26-03-012-DW PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Desert Recreation District (District) invites sealed bids for the above stated scope of services and will receive such bids in the Administration Office of the Desert Recreation District, 45-305 Oasis Street, Indio, CA 92201, up to the hour of 1:00 PM on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. This is a non-professional services contract for uniform rental and laundering services. The services requested do not constitute “public works” as defined under California Labor Code §1720 or Public Contract Code §10105. The purpose of this IFB is to establish a contract with a reliable and experienced service provider who can furnish, maintain, and manage uniforms for District maintenance personnel. The selected Vendor will be responsible for providing a uniform program that includes rental, laundering, delivery, inventory management, and repair services. Services must ensure that all uniforms are clean, hygienic, and presentable for daily use in a maintenance environment. Award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder based on the total evaluated three-year price, calculated using the standardized evaluation quantities set forth in the Bid Price Sheet. IFB # 26-03-012-DW Specifications and Contract documents can be obtained, free of charge, in electronic format by accessing the Desert Recreation District Bidder portal PlanetBids.com using the following link and downloading the Specification and Contract documents: https://vendors.planetbids.com/portal/35240/bo/bo-detail/141113. To receive updates, alerts, and Addenda, prospective bidders must register with PlanetBids or be responsible to check the posted bid notice frequently by using the posted link. For technical issues with PlanetBids registration only, contact PlanetBids Support directly. Printed copies of IFB # 26-03-012-DW, Specifications and Contract documents are available from the Desert Recreation District for a non-refundable fee of $20.00 per set. The District intends to select a service provider for Weekly Uniform Rental and Laundering Services. The initial agreement will be for a three (3) year term, beginning July 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2029. The District reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to renew the agreement for up to two (2) additional one (1) year extensions under the same terms and conditions. Requests for clarifications, questions and comments must be submitted in writing, via this IFB at www.planetbids.com; and must be submitted no later than 1:00 PM on Wednesday, May 6, 2026. District is not responsible for failure to respond to a request that has not been so submitted. All registered Bidders (those who have registered with PlanetBids for this IFB) will be notified of any requests for information and/or other changes to this IFB by the District. Such changes become an integral part of the IFB for incorporation into any contract awarded pursuant to the IFB. Responses will be labeled as Addenda and posted. Bids must be prepared on the approved proposal forms in conformance with the instructions to bidders and submitted in a sealed envelope plainly marked on the outside “SEALED BID: DESERT RECREATION DISTRICT – IFB # 26-03-012-DW BID PACKET – DO NOT OPEN WITH REGULAR MAIL.” Each sealed envelope shall be addressed to Ken Seumalo, P.E., Public Works and Planning Director, Desert Recreation District. IMPORTANT DATES The District reserves the right to reject any and all bid proposals and to waive any technical irregularities, to accept any bid or portion thereof, and to take all bids under advisement for a period of ninety (90) days. No bid security is required for this solicitation. The bidder must possess, at the time of bid submission, and maintain throughout the term of the awarded agreement, all licenses and permits required to operate a commercial uniform rental and laundering business in the State of California.
