Project Name: 2026 On-Call Trucking Services Contract(s) For Various Road and Flood Control Maintenance Work Project Number: 7520-6B9385-26 Contra Costa County Public Works Department 255 Glacier Drive, Martinez, California 94553-4897 NOTICE TO BIDDERS The Public Works Director will receive sealed bids via the Contra Costa County Public Works Department's Online Planroom at www.cccounty.us/planroom, until 2 o'clock p.m., on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 , at which time they will be publicly opened and read, for: 2026 On-Call Trucking Services Contract(s) For Various Road And Flood Control Maintenance Work. The Public Works Department has scheduled a virtual meeting for the opening of bids. Bidders may participate in the public bid opening. General work description: A contract to provide trucking services consisting of trucks and operators to support road and flood control maintenance repair work ("Work"), including transportation of, but not limited to, debris, aggregate, hot mix asphalt, and rock, on an as-needed basis, not to exceed $900,000, in various locations within Contra Costa County, as requested by the Public Works Department. MAXIMUM ON-CALL CONTRACT AMOUNT: $900,000 for a one-year period with the option of two one-year extensions. The Contractor's attention is directed to Section 10-1.02, "Order of Work" and Attachment A, "Scope of Work," in these special provisions. Prospective bidders shall be located within 70 miles driving distance from 2475 Waterbird Way, Martinez, CA 94553. The County, in its sole discretion, may award at least two $900,000 on-call contracts to the lowest responsive bidder(s). Each bidder may be awarded only one on-call contract. A virtual pre-bid meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. to discuss the project. Prospective bidders attendance is recommended but not mandatory. This project is to be advertised pursuant to Public Contract Code 22037. This contract is subject to state contract nondiscrimination and compliance requirements pursuant to Government Code, Section 12990. Prior to submitting a bid, the Contractor and subcontractors must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations and qualified to perform public work pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5, subject to limited legal exceptions under Labor Code section 1771.1. This contract will be subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1771.4. Bids must cover the entire project, and neither partial nor contingent bids will be considered. The successful bidder must furnish a payment bond. The Board has ascertained the general prevailing rate of wages applicable to this work. The prevailing rate of per diem wages is on file with the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors, and is incorporated herein by reference thereto, the same as if set forth in full herein. For any classification not included in the list, the minimum wage will be the general prevailing rate for Contra Costa County.
