ADVERTISEMENT REQUEST FOR BIDS TO PERFORM SUBCONTRACTOR CONSTRUCTION SERVICES GCCI, INC. is requesting subcontractor bids for the John Muir Elementary School New TK-K Building and John Muir Elementary School Portable Relocation and Restroom Upgrades, a lease-lease back project, which consists of the following scope: John Muir Elementary School New TK-K Building: Single Story TK (Building V) and K (Building U) Classroom Buildings TK/K Playground Enclosed by Fences and Gates Paved Play Striping and Activities South Parking Lot and Drop Off Add Alternate: (2) Shade Structure at Play Area John Muir Elementary School Portable Relocation and Restroom Upgrades: Relocation of Three (3) (E) Portable Classroom Buildings Upgrades to (E) Restrooms where Indicated Interested subcontractors shall submit bids on or before April 21, 2026, by 2:00 PM to GCCI, INC., 4701 Old Redwood Highway, Suite 1, Santa Rosa, CA 95403, Attn: Brandon Gentry. Bids will be accepted via email at brandon@gcciinc.com. Each subcontractor is responsible for ensuring that the bid is received by April 21, 2026, by 2:00 PM. GCCI, INC. will award the subcontracts based on the best value criteria permitted under Education Code � 17406 and as authorized by the District's governing board. Each subcontractor's license(s) must be active and in good standing at the time it provides its proposal and must remain so throughout the term of the Contract. Each subcontractor shall comply with the registration and qualification requirements pursuant to sections 1725.5 and 1771.1 of the California Labor Code. All contractors will have to comply with skilled and trained workforce requirements pursuant to Public Contract Code sections 2600 et seq. and Education Code section 17407.5 and will be required to submit monthly reporting of apprenticeship hours worked along with graduate records of staff. All contractors are to comply with apprenticeship requirements as outlined in California Labor Code Section 1777.5 and 1777.7 All Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) subcontractors (contractors that hold C-4, C-7, C-10, C-16, C-20, C-34, C-36, C-38, C-42, C-43 or C-46 licenses) must be prequalified with the District. This prequalifica-tion requirement applies even if the subcontractor will perform, or is designated to perform, work that does not require one of the licenses listed above, but the subcontractor holds one of the licenses listed above.
